Nashville Kansas University junior Sean Land allowed just two hits over eight innings, leading the Jayhawks to a 4-2 baseball victory over Belmont on Friday in the Music City Challenge.
Land struck out five and walked one. He was relieved by Don Czyz in the ninth, who allowed a run but earned his fourth save of the season.
KU scored once in the second on a throwing error and twice in the third on a two-run double by Gus Milner.
John Allman and Kyle Murphy each chipped in a pair of singles. Ritchie Price extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a third-inning single.
Kansas (8-4) will play Lipscomb at 2 p.m. today in Nashville. Ricky Fairchild (2-1) will take the mound for KU.
