Due to an injury, Kansas University middle blocker Natalie Uhart will be sidelined until further notice, KU coach Ray Bechard announced Monday. Uhart a junior and Lansing, Kan. native suffered a knee injury Aug. 19 in a preseason scrimmage.

Uhart, voted the 2006 Big 12 Conference Preseason Newcomer of the Year, was recently granted an additional year of eligibility by the Big West Conference after a 2005 medical hardship season at Long Beach State.

Once more information is compiled and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) issues are discussed, Bechard will comment further.
