Costner wins golf tourney

? Kansas University’s Amanda Costner won her first collegiate golf tournament title at the Lady Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday.

Costner shot a final-round 73 and finished at 1-over-par 217.

KU placed sixth in the 13-team field with a team score of 305.

“I am so proud of Amanda,” KU coach Erin O’Neil said. “This was a goal that she set for herself, and she achieved it. I am also proud of our team as a whole. We fought hard this tournament.”

Other KU scores: Chelsey Pryor, tied for 21st, 230; Jill Womble, tied for 38th, 235; Tiffany Woods, tied for 48th, 239; Annie Giangrosso, 57th, 241; and Meredith Winkelmann, tied 60th, 242.
