? Kansas University’s volleyball team opened its season Wednesday night with a 3-1 (30-20, 30-26, 23-30, 30-25) victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks at Barnhill Arena.

The Jayhawks rolled through the first two games against the Razorbacks — a 2003 NCAA Tournament qualifier — before dropping game three. The Jayhawks led for the entire fourth game, however, and at one point held a seven-point advantage before winning, 30-25.

Junior Josi Lima led KU with a match-high 15 kills. Senior Ashley Michaels added 11 and sophomore Jana Correa 10.

Freshman Emily Brown, a former Baldwin High standout, played all four games, had eight kills and 10 digs in her Kansas debut.

The Jayhawks (1-0) next play at 5 p.m. Friday against Loyola Chicago at the Oral Roberts Tournament in Tulsa, Okla.
