Jennifer Orgas, a 6-foot-2 junior from Omaha, Neb., has become the first high school basketball player to give an oral commitment to new Kansas University women's coach Bonnie Henrickson.

Orgas earned honorable mention all-state honors last season at Omaha Skutt Catholic High.

Orgas, who averaged 10.8 points and 4.9 rebounds a game last season, was recruited by Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan State and Syracuse.

Earlier, Henrickson announced that Jamie Boyd, a 6-foot forward from Underwood, Iowa, had signed a letter of intent and would enroll for the fall semester.
