Which do you hope lasts longer: the process for hiring a new KU women's basketball coach, or the KU men's team's run in the NCAA Tournament?
Asked of Lew Perkins, KU athletic director, at Kemper Arena before Friday's game against Illinois-Chicago.
"First of all, those are not related. But I think the most important thing is to win the basketball games. That's the most important thing right now. We have no timeline on hiring a women's coach. Right now, we want to win a national championship. That's the most important thing. Timing is not important on hiring a coach right now. Most of the people we're talking to are in the NCAA (Women's) Tournament."
