The Washington Redskins announced the retirement of former Kansas University coach Pepper Rodgers on Saturday. Rodgers had served as the Redskins' vice president of football operations since Dec. 4, 2000.
Rodgers was 20-22 as KU's coach from 1967-70 and led the Jayhawks to the Orange Bowl after the 1968 season. Rodgers also coached UCLA and Georgia Tech at the collegiate level and at Memphis in the USFL.
