TULSA, OKLA. Kansas University's men's bowling club advanced to the Final Four for the first time Friday at the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships.
"This is farthest the men have advanced under this format," KU coach Mike Fine said.
The Jayhawks, seeded fourth out of 16 schools, went 3-0 in match play, defeating Purdue, 4-1; knocking off Morehead (Ky.) State University, 4-1; and clipping Mohawk Valley Community College (N.Y.), 4-3.
KU will face Fresno State at 9 a.m. today in the semifinals.
The 14th-seeded Kansas women finished in fifth place.
KU's Rhino Page and Kelly Zapf each were named honorable mention All-American selections.
