K.C. standout to pen KU volleyball tender

Tessa Jones, a high school All-American volleyball player from Kansas City (Mo.) O'Hara High will sign a letter of intent with Kansas University this afternoon. O'Hara is two-time defending Class 3A state champion in Missouri.

Jones set numerous state-tournament records. She also owns most of the state career marks, including the kills record.

Jayhawks honored

Kansas University soccer players Caroline Smith, Rachel Gilfillan and Lauren Williams have earned second-team berths on the Academic All-District VII selections.
