SAN ANTONIO - All the Roy Williams hype, Tyler Hansbrough defense hype, fast-paced game hype, throw it all out the window, because tip time has finally arrived for Kansas University and North Carolina. The two schools tangle tonight in the Alamodome with a trip to Monday's national championship game on the line. The winner will face Memphis, who ousted UCLA 78-63 in the night's first semi. Tying up loose ends from Kansas' 18-point win over North Carolina in the national semifinals, advancing KU to play Memphis for the NCAA crown Monday night. The game was won with KU playing at the pace most considered normally reserved for UNC, though the Jayhawks played at what they said was also their pace, and did so with much more efficiency. Bill Self's postgame press conference
KU coach Bill Self met with the media following his team's 84-66 national semifinal win over North Carolina. The Jayhawks officially put any Roy Williams chatter in the rearview mirror with an energetic, well-balanced attack which saw them lead by as many as 28 points in the first half.
