After pulling out a sloppy win in Southern California Sunday - a 59-55 edging of USC - the Jayhawks return to Allen Fieldhouse tonight to take on Eastern Washington in a building where KU has dominated nonconference competition so far this season. The No. 4 Jayhawks (7-0) welcome the Eagles (4-6) tonight in the first of two games this week, as KU gets a chance to avenge last season's loss to DePaul Saturday when the Blue Demons make the trip West. As for EWU, however, the Eagles are attempting to become the first Big Sky opponent to beat KU - ever. The Jayhawks are 9-0 lifetime against the league's members, including an 87-46 win a couple of weeks ago on Thanksgiving eve. Read more »

His team's focus was on getting the ball into the paint early and often, and what he'd hammered home in practice worked, with Darnell Jackson and Darrell Arthur scoring the team's first 15 points in setting the table for a blowout win.
