KU coach Bill Self met with the media following Friday's opening night 107-78 plastering of Louisiana-Monroe, in which seven Jayhawks scored at least eight points. Despite the well-balanced, fast-paced and efficient offense the Jayhawks ran, Self was still not totally pleased with his team's defensive effort, allowing ULM to score 78 points and shoot over 50 percent from the floor.
