Will probably be ranked #1 after the wknd.

Matt Lacey in reply to Wissoxfan83

I went to the match in Boca last month, and I'm going to the one in Jax in a few weeks

Well how do some put it "we keep yada yada yada we won't get the conf title and an early exit from the dance."

Thanks Jesse Jayhawk

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Matt Lacey

No kidding? I follow it as well, coach some, my daughter plays high school.

Disruption Stat:

KU 14:14

OU 9:11

KU just disrupts more, even if they aren't protecting well.

If they ever return to protecting well, there are going to be somne huge blow outs.

Brian Powell in reply to Duane Rice

nice :)

Matt Lacey in reply to Wissoxfan83

Interesting. The other sport I follow a lot is women's soccer. Our national team - Olympic gold medalists - was beaten by a collegiate club team in a tune-up last year.

Duane Rice

Im going to pat my self on the back. I posted if Withey stays out of foul trouble we win by 14. Sorry missed by one.

Oh, and...

Rock Chalk

Another ugly pretty win.

Weird that we might end up as the number 1 team depending on what Michigan does tomorrow...

Oklahoma 54
Kansas 67

Jesse Newell

KU closes out the victory.

Darin Bradley

Rock Chalk!

Jesse! Do Morgantown proud.

Brian Powell

holy cow, sorry for the huge font.

Lajayhawk in reply to Lajayhawk

And a weird, double word reply....

Brian Powell

1 spot locked up? Target on our back?

Lajayhawk in reply to Lajayhawk

That was a stupid question, obvious question. Sorry.

Brooksmd in reply to Lajayhawk

Lex Valdez

Brian Powell in reply to Wissoxfan83

we'd play a few of them a lot at Robinson, and I always had to guard a Forward... kind of out of position for me, but we canceled each other out :) so I didn't feel like a total waste of space

Jaybate in reply to Wissoxfan83

For sure. I interviewed Marian Washington once when I worked for the UDK and I went to a few of the women's practices. They would have hurt me. :-)

Is this our 17th straight win?

I hope we don't get ranked #1. We are not ready for it.

Self looks pissed

Darin Bradley

Really hope we find our offensive mojo against West Virginia. We need a blow out win.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Jaybate

I played some games with several players on the womens team and never once after that even pretended to think I could play on the woman's team.

BTW, told you all the under was the solid bet......

Brian Powell

It's so compact because he really uses his legs, his whole body, to get an open shot off. Perfect.

Jaybate in reply to Brian Powell

Yea, playing with D1 players is a humbling thang. :-)

I played some pick up games with Tom Kivisto, Dale Greenlee and Roger Morningstar for a few weeks near the end of the school year. It was not pretty at all. They just seemed to be able to score from anywhere all the time.

I would probably be OK if we just had Ben shoot threes on every possession

Brian Powell

NBA range for sure there! Smooooth

earlier in the game, rio was doing six shooters when thape hit a three

LOL. His stroke is ridiculous.

Matt Lacey

Why hasn't the chant started?

Let's break 60

Jeff still needs a rebound for double double

Brian Powell in reply to Lifelong_jayhawk

it looks like half of The Worm, lol

Lifelong_jayhawk in reply to Lajayhawk

Rio bowing to Elijah like a slave to Bwana or Sahib. Kinda like "Pockets" mockingly bowing to John Wayne in Hatari.

Brian Powell in reply to Matt Lacey

at least a dozen times this season so far?

Runningbeakers84 in reply to Lajayhawk

Closet dance move I saw was the Charlie Brown Zombie.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Jhawkminer

Best sports years of my life!

Jesse Newell

And just like that, OU's PPP up to 0.77.

Tim Marshall

Rio is hilarious.

Matt Lacey

I wonder how many times someone else's foul has negated a Withey block.

Jesse Newell in reply to Lajayhawk

Oh boy. Hopefully someone makes the GIF.

EJ is definitely not a quitter

Brian Powell

Coach making sure that we close this one out

JESSE! Another Rio dance spotted!!

Matt Lacey

PROPHET when we needed it.

Is that a Seth Domeberg doppelganger on OU's bench? Is he handling basketball logistics for Lon? :-)

Jesse Newell

He put KU in a hole, and he got KU out of it.

Jeff Kilgore in reply to Jeff Kilgore

I meant "state" not "school"

Brian Powell in reply to Jaybate

1 of 2 NBA players I've played with. Other was Courtney Lee at WKU, but he was on the opposing team and wiped the floor with us.

Jhawkminer in reply to Wissoxfan83

You must have sat right next to me. Second/thrid row behind the bench, back when students sat over there.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Lajayhawk

Wow, where'd steve hensons hair go?

Darin Bradley

Sometimes EJ really looks like he don't give a damn. I don't get it. He's a Senior. No more after this.

Jeff Kilgore

I've googled Embiid and The Rock high school. Nothng. Florida's a FB school but it's still weird.

Lajayhawk in reply to Wissoxfan83

31.5% freshman year 50.5% sophomore year 47.8% junior year 40.6% senior year

43% for his career

Tim Marshall in reply to Jesse Newell

I agree, Jesse. Hopefully his experience will help him snap out of it.

EJ needs to go home for a while. Take a few days off

Obviousness mastery time: a 14 point lead in a 56 point game is a blow out.

Aircapjay in reply to Jesse Newell

He needs to sit a game. Maybe he would snap out of it.

Runningbeakers84 in reply to Jesse Newell

If we can keep winning with EJ in a slump, then look out when he comes around.

Johnson's game is such a joke.

That's twice now we've failed to get it across midcourt.

Brian Powell

is this game really over??

Jesse Newell

Two horrible plays by Johnson has given OU some life.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Matt Lacey

Nice thing about the 80's was we never had to camp for the games. I'd show up 2 hours before and sit right behind the basket on the KU bench side. Awesome seats for the Danny Manning show!

Jesse Newell

Johnson in such a slump. Biggest concern for Jayhawks.

Basketball or ballet

Hey, another EJ turnover. How about that.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Lajayhawk

I'm not arguing at all, but what was his freshman percent? By the way he went off last night!

Jaybate in reply to Brian Powell

Great palimsest and "hey meyne." Thanks.

Matt Lacey in reply to Wissoxfan83

Only we honors kids would come up with something so lame, while we were lamenting losing the #1 camping spot due to an idiot that kept not waking up for the 6am shift.

Lajayhawk in reply to Jesse Newell

Ha. You said 69.

Lawkan in reply to Brooksmd

probably. Ol Roy gave up on coaching defense for some reason.

Jesse Newell

OU at 0.69 PPP. If it stands, it'll be the Sooners' lowest since 2004.

Will UNC lose tonite?

Lajayhawk in reply to Wissoxfan83

Hinrich shot over 50% for a full season at KU. Hard to be better than that.

Jaybate in reply to Matt Lacey

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Matt Lacey

You 90's grads were so cutting edge!

Brian Powell in reply to Matt Lacey

lol yeah, but he would say "hey mayne" in his Louisiana accent. I threw an alley oop to him from about half court in a pickup game once, in Robinson. Final game of the greek league was next to ours, but everyone was watching our game :)

It is just amazing how guys act that catch the ball in the post against Withey.

They bend over. They cruise around all loooooow. Like that might help. Like maybe they are hoping to see someone to dish to, so they don't have to try to go up. Then after all else fails they give it a lame try.

Lajayhawk in reply to Matt Lacey

All eyes on me.... I mean him.... I mean.... you know what I mean.

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Brooksmd

BMac's ability to step back to the line is what amazes me. Most of those guys were more of spot up shooters off a pass. They're all amazing.

McLemore money 'mo problems

Lajayhawk in reply to Dynamitehawk

He did. Used his full 3 inch vertical on that one.

Matt Lacey in reply to Jaybate

We 90's grads called Billy Thomas 3Pac for his resemblance.

Ron Kellogg was the best if they had the line then.

Jeff lands with his knees bent. Makes it look like he jumped.

Downtown Terry Brown?

Wissoxfan83 in reply to Matt Lacey

3Pac? sorry not up on my ku nicknames

Brian Powell

did he land first on that up-and-under? Too many guys do that now, actually landing again before releasing the shot
