The Kansas men's basketball team held TCU to nine first-half points, dominating defensively in a 74-48 victory over TCU on Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
TCU (10-17, 1-13 Big 12) made just four of 23 field goals in the first half (17 percent) with 10 turnovers, as KU raced to a 38-9 halftime lead.
Jeff Withey led KU with 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting. Ben McLemore added 14 points, which included a highlight-reel, one-handed slam over a TCU defender just before the halftime buzzer.
Travis Releford and Perry Ellis added 12 points each.
The Jayhawks also were 18-for-19 from the free throw line.
KU (23-4, 11-3) will play at Iowa State at 8 p.m. Monday.
