Jeff Withey and Travis Releford had 15 points apiece, and the Kansas men's basketball team displayed smothering defense in a 73-47 victory over Texas on Saturday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Longhorns made 12 of 55 field goals (22 percent). That included 2-for-21 shooting from three-point range (10 percent).
Withey added 11 rebounds and four steals, while Releford was efficient, making five of seven field goals.
Ben McLemore added 13 points, including a 360 dunk with 4:11 left in the game that made it 68-34 KU.
Elijah Johnson also broke out of a long slump, posting 12 points on 5-for-10 shooting with four assists and just one turnover.
KU (21-4, 9-3 Big 12) will play at Oklahoma State at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Texas never takes its starters out.
