FINAL: KU overcomes 10-point, second-half deficit, defeats Purdue, 63-60
Elijah Johnson put in a breakaway dunk with 23 seconds to give KU the lead, and Purdue's Robbie Hummel and Ryne Smith missed late threes for the lead and tie as the Kansas men's basketball team defeated Purdue, 63-60, on Sunday night in the Round of 32 at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.
KU trailed by as many as 10 points early in the second half.
Johnson led KU with 18 points. Thomas Robinson added 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Tyshawn Taylor and Travis Releford had 10 points apiece.
KU advances to the Sweet 16, where it will face 11th-seeded North Carolina State on Friday.

NC State will be even tougher to beat. They'll be next week's upset special. Warning to KU, those guys are playing really, really, well.

i'm going to have a heart attack. got the W which is the only thing that matters. this team has been a remarkable joy this entire season. i think we match up well with nc state and should win easily. rockchalk!
