FINAL: Jeff Withey posts 18 and 20 as KU takes out Oklahoma State, 81-66
Jeff Withey contributed 18 points, 20 rebounds and seven blocks, leading the Kansas men's basketball team to an 81-66 victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
Withey's previous career-high for rebounds was 13 this year against Long Beach State. The junior had 11 points and 11 rebounds at halftime.
KU was efficient offensively in the first half, making 63 percent of its field goals (19 of 30) to open up a 51-24 halftime lead.
The Jayhawks' second half was sloppier, as KU turned it over 11 times in the final 20 minutes and also made just 11 of 32 shots (34 percent).
Thomas Robinson added 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Tyshawn Taylor (12), Elijah Johnson (11) and Travis Releford (10) also hit double figures.
KU (20-5, 10-2 Big 12) will play at Kansas State at 8 p.m. Monday.

Did they just say the Octogon of doom...funny we have a better record there than KSU does...In addition, I think we have a better record there, than we have at Allen Field House

Always good to see my Hawks win, but we gave OSU confidence. And as things go, we'll probably see them on our side of the Big 12 tourney.

So why do you think teams will decide to play zones against us all the time if we struggled a bit with it one game but destroyed it every other time?

Ha didn't now Bass Pro Shops dealt with KU bball...I work at Bass Pro, hell a couple of the swamp people were there today.

We foul a lot / too much when we're getting outplayed. Bench is too shallow to handle foul trouble.

What was the spread before the game? 18? The halves are just averaging themselves out. Though beating them by 30 would have been nice. :-)

Definitely had problems with playing D this year. Too many fouls. Full court is a weakness too.
