I do hope ku fans appreciate what Bill Self has brought to KU. I didn't think his tenure would be better than Roy's but everything he has brought to the University has exceeded expectations.

No video. Just a presentation of the game ball.

Matt-- if that is the case, will that be on-line later?

PA announcer just told fans to stay in their seats following the game for a special presentation. Gotta be a video about the home-court winning streak, which now is at 63 and counting....

EJ is going to want to forget this one, after he learns how to correct his play.

oh man, I feel bad for Elijah.. shoulda two-handed like D-Rose

Ahpersecoachingexperience

nice dunk tyshawn. . .errr ej

Waywardjay

I take back my comment earlier about dunks meaning high shooting percentage....

Jesse Newell

Johnson clanks a showtime dunk, and he will check out at the first opportunity.

Soobawls

Take a seat on the bench Mr Johnson.

Brian Powell in reply to Soobawls

yeah....

tonight's game should be less up-and-down, and more crowded around the basket. unless the refs REALLYYYY let them play, we'll see some foul trouble.

Jesse Newell

Releford drains a three from the corner. This has been one of his best offensive games.

Foxylady11

is anyone streaming the game? i was....but my computer randomly shut down and i'm desperately trying to find a way to finish watching this game. thank you!

Ahpersecoachingexperience

excited for the u of a game. see how we stack up with some decent teams

Jesse Newell

Quick move across the rim for Releford, who puts in the layup.

Just ask the Memphis forward who fouled out at the end of regulation in 2008. Was that Dorsey? Having him out basically gave us the game in OT.

Marcus Morris is fouled. The KU alums cram the exits.

lol

Ku_fansince75

I wouldn't want to be in a dark alley with Frank Martin staring me down!

Brian Powell in reply to Soobawls

yep and vice a versa -- people underestimate the power of taking it to the rack and racking up fouls.. over the long haul it can really determine a game.

Ahpersecoachingexperience

maybe the soldier behind the bench could help me with that

and that bomb will not ignite because Frank Martin Stared it down.

Soobawls in reply to Brian Powell

If KSU takes into the paint hard and gets some fouls on whatsis name they win.

Brian Powell

watch: one team will have a key player or two in foul trouble... and it will cost them the game.

I agree, but KSU hasn't played anyone as disciplined as Duke either!

i predict a bomb to land on the sprint center tonight and nobody will be sad

Brian Powell in reply to Kesmithstl1

they haven't played someone as physical as KSU yet. Last time they beat a top 10 team was 2008.

Matt Tait KUsports.com staff in reply to Brian Powell

Duke by 10... They always win by 10. Because they always play close, let other teams scrap to hang around and then make enough shots and enough free throws to make it look like they won easily. 78-68.

Soobawls in reply to Matt Tait

Oh sorry...incorrect. The correct answer is Oscar Robertson.

Kesmithstl1 in reply to Brian Powell

foul trouble? Duke doesn't know the meaning of the term Foul trouble

Jesse Newell

Taylor with a quick drive, and he scoops in a whirling layup before falling to the floor.

Brian Powell

those are safe guesses :) I think winner wins by at least 15 - could go either way. Will depend on who gets in foul trouble < big key.

Matt Tait KUsports.com staff

Video board poll of the Jayhawks asked the following question: Kobe, Jordan or LeBron? Vote was split between Kobe and Jordan, with MJ winning by a slim margin. Only mention for LeBron came from freshman Royce Woolridge, who said, "Definitely not LeBron."

Predict the final score of the KSU/Duke game:

Waywardjay

that was the worst we have looked all year... that little stretch.... we still played even basketball.

Matt Tait KUsports.com staff

Great stretch for the second unit there. Pushed the ball, guarded the rim and went all out the whole time.

Jesse Newell

Withey feeds over the top to Robinson, who puts in the layup.

Matt Tait KUsports.com staff

Mario Little looks so much more comfortable out there now than he did earlier this season. I think he has stopped trying too hard and is finally letting the game come to him... especially on offense. Solid night.

Jesse Newell

KU's defense hasn't been good enough the last few minutes. KU has five players waiting at the scorer's table.

Ku_fansince75

Little, nice shot!

Jesse Newell

Withey kicks out to Little, who buries a three.

Brian Powell

lol yes, but this year we'll have Selby, Taylor, and a slew of other great guards/combos.

Ahpersecoachingexperience

johnson is the new taylor

Brian Powell

cmon VALUE the ball, guys

Waywardjay

Elijah....3 strikes and your out.

Jesse Newell

Johnson tries a pass to Little between three defenders, and Self buries his head in his palm.

Soobawls in reply to Jesse Newell

Don't need to, I'm watching the game. I am well over 30 and am better than a few of their players.

Matt Tait KUsports.com staff

Withey slow to the box out and it cost KU a bucket. Withey has moments of greatness but that kind of effort will keep those moments few and far between. Not blocking out on a free throw won't be tolerated.

Jesse Newell

Another offensive rebound for Robinson, who gets a stickback two.

Brian Powell

I love watching EJ and Trob and Releford and Little and Withey all get more PT.

We don't have anyone as dominant as Sherron or Cole, but overall we're going to be a better team this season. Esp. a couple months after Selby lands.

Jesse Newell in reply to Soobawls

Tell that to Oklahoma State, which only beat them by 10.

Robinson with an airball on a jumpshot. Trying too hard there.

Soobawls

Seriously there are teams at my gym that can beat this team. I am not even joking.

Ku_fansince75

T-Rob looking better and better!

Brian Powell

we might hold them to under 40 points on the GAME. wow.

Waywardjay

Wow they are shooitn glights out. what 2-12 in three.

Jesse Newell

Robinson with another layup off a cut in the lane. Assist to Johnson again.

Jesse Newell

Robinson gets the layup, but give the credit to Johnson, who threw a great lob pass between two defenders.
