Marcus Morris posted 28 points and seven rebounds, leading the Kansas men's basketball team to a 92-62 victory over Washburn in its first exhibition game Tuesday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
Morris, a 6-foot-9 junior, made 8 of 10 field goals and all 11 of his free-throw attempts. He also added three steals and three assists in his 22 minutes.
KU started the game on an 11-0 run and never trailed after that.
Markieff Morris added 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting with eight rebounds and three steals.
Tyshawn Taylor contributed 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting with three assists and no turnovers.
KU made just 4 of its 19 three-point attempts (21.1 percent) but was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, making 32 of 35 (91.4 percent).
KU will close exhibition play with a home game against Emporia State at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
