Waco, Texas — In the Ferrell Center hallway, shortly after third-ranked Kansas’ 64-61 victory over No. 1 Baylor, BU Athletic Director Mack Rhoades stopped Kansas coach Bill Self to deliver a quick message.
Behind Azubuike’s 23 points and 19 rebounds in 36 minutes that dominated Saturday’s game, third-ranked Kansas knocked off No. 1 Baylor, 64-61, in what Kansas coach Bill Self called the best atmosphere the Jayhawks have played in this season.
In what will certainly be a decisive result in the Big 12 regular season title race, the Jayhawks held on to took care of the Bears 64-61 Saturday afternoon.
