No. 9 Kansas knocks off Iowa State behind decisive 14-0 run in second half

The eyes said it all. With No. 9 Kansas making a hard run and expending every ounce of energy it had to overcome a night when it was outplayed, outpushed and outexecuted by visiting Iowa State, Devon Dotson looked up the floor right about midcourt and saw Lagerald Vick slip behind the defense. Quick recap: Kansas avoids season sweep with 80-76 win over Iowa State

Kansas flipped the script in the second half to secure another Big Monday victory. After suffering a 17-point loss to Iowa State just a few weeks ago, KU got its revenge with a 80-76 victory Monday night in Allen Fieldhouse. Since the 2013-14 season, the Jayhawks (16-3, 5-2 Big 12) are 37-3 following a loss. With the loss, ISU (14-5, 4-3) dropped from a four-way tie for first place in the Big 12.

In a rematch between two teams that are part of the logjam atop the Big 12 standings, Kansas (15-3 overall, 4-2 Big 12) looks to make up for its loss at Ames, Iowa, earlier this month, as Iowa State (14-4, 4-2) ventures into Allen Fieldhouse.
