Kansas University senior leader Elijah Johnson was pleased to see freshman Rio Adams score three points and dish two assists in the scrimmage portion of Friday’s Late Night in the Phog in Allen Fieldhouse.

Elijah Johnson went 3-for-6 from three-point range and finished with a game-high 11 points, leading the Crimson team to a 36-28 scrimmage victory over the Blue during Late Night in the Phog on Friday at Allen Fieldhouse.
Jeff Withey added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Crimson.
Kevin Young paced the Blue team with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting with four offensive rebounds. He also added a three.
Other players with six points were Perry Ellis (Crimson, 3-for-5 shooting), Ben McLemore (Blue, 3-for-8 shooting) and Jamari Traylor (Blue, 3-for-5 shooting).
KU will officially open its exhibition season with a game against Emporia State at 7 p.m. on Oct. 30.
