Kansas State made enough plays down the stretch to hold off Kansas yet again. With 2:46 left in the game, K-State quarterback Alex Delton scored on a 21-yard touchdown run to give the hosts the final advantage in the 21-17 victory. The win extended the Wildcats’ (4-6, 2-5 Big 12) dominance in the Sunflower Showdown, as they have won 10 consecutive meetings over the Jayhawks.

Manhattan — A victory in the first stage of David Beaty’s last stand as football coach at the University of Kansas remained in play as late as the final minute of an in-state rivalry game Saturday afternoon at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
David Beaty’s days as the Kansas football coach are numbered. The Jayhawks (3-6 overall, 1-5 Big 12) will try to get Beaty his second conference victory of the season and third in his four seasons at KU as they take on rival Kansas State (3-6, 1-5) in Manhattan.
