Drive. Tulsa is a shorter drive than Oklahoma City, as it's just 218 miles from Lawrence if you start by heading south on US 59. Even with gas as expensive as it is, you should be able to get up and back from Tulsa without filling the tank more than twice.

NCAA Tournament: BOK Center Box Office
The BOK Center is located in downtown Tulsa, with most businesses shutting down late at night. During the day, you should be able to find sandwich shops and cafes on Boston, Main and Cincinnati Streets just east of the arena.
Also, McNellie's is a well-known Irish bar (it will be the week of St. Patrick's Day) located at 409 East 1st Street, just eight blocks east of the BOK Center.
Otherwise, if you're looking for a place to hang out after the game, it's best to hop in the car. The Brookside District is located about three miles southeast of the BOK Center between East 31st and 41st Streets on S. Peoria Avenue, featuring restaurants and also nightlife. Meanwhile, the Cherry Street District is located east of S. Peoria Avenue along 15th Street, offering plenty of different dining options.
• One main must-see attraction is the Riverwalk located along the the Arkansas River at the west end of the 96th Street river bridge in Jenks, just east of Tulsa. The Riverwalk features a wide array of restaurants and also an outdoor amphitheater, which often is the spot for live music and entertainment. Locals say Los Cabos on the Riverwalk is the place to go if you're looking for good Mexican food.
The Tulsa Zoo also is located in northeast Tulsa and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
