The dance is all that is the case
Gameday
My bracket is blowed to pieces! How did everyone else do?
Some big performances Thursday, none bigger than that of Eric Maynor and Virginia Commonwealth University. Ave Rams. They get Pitt next.
Otherwise, favorites ruled. The second-round bracket is off to a fine start: VCU/Pitt, Butler/Maryland, Vandy/Wazzou etc. A&M/Louisville jumps off the page, as does Georgetown/BC. (I have A&M and Georgetown in my Final Four.)
Ken Pomeroy's bracket analysis--"Florida Isn't Going to the Final Four"--is up. Pomeroy thinks KU's side of the bracket is quite manageable, but notes the perils of a second-round game against the winner of Kentucky/Villanova. He writes: "Putting that second game in perspective, the Jayhawks have the worst chance of all the No. 1’s to get to the Sweet 16, but the 2nd best to win the championship."
But first, Niagara.
Kenpom notes that the Purple Eagles don't play a ton of defense--their DE is 107.2, #238 in DI--so this shouldn't be close.
